AUGUST DAYTON MEET-UP: In-person socializing and critiques!
With planning assistance from our members in the Dayton area, we are very happy to be holding a small in-person meet-up in Dayton on Saturday, August 20! We will be meeting from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Woodbourne Library (6060 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, OH 45459). The library’s meeting room is reserved for our group.
This meet-up will be a critique and socializing gathering for all kidlit age groups and genres. You can bring (1) one complete picture book (up to 500 words), (2) the first page of a middle grade or young adult novel, (3) a query letter, or (4) up to five illustrations to share for critique (for illustrators). You are welcome to attend whether or not you are bringing work to critique. We can all learn by reading and thinking critically about others’ writing!
NOTE: Due to the current national SCBWI Covid protocols, we will have to limit the number of attendees to 25. Please register to secure your seat!

Through August 5, 2022, registration will be limited to current SCBWI members. On August 6, 2022, we will open any remaining attendance spots to non-members.
