How do you sell your work to children’s magazines?

It takes more than good content! In this three-hour, hands-on workshop, Tracy Vonder Brink, Contributing Editor for Click, ASK and Muse magazines and author of over 30 articles for kids, will give you the tools you need to understand the world of children’s magazines.

She’ll take you behind the scenes at Cricket Media and demonstrate how an editorial team’s work relates to you. Then you’ll learn how to analyze a magazine in a hands-on exercise. Finally, you’ll have time to work on a submission based on current magazine needs.

You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to be successful in magazines and a great start to your own submission! Writers and illustrators at all levels are encouraged to attend!

**Participants are asked to bring one copy of a children’s magazine to the workshop. The issue can be a library copy.

**And please note in the comments if you write primarily fiction, non-fiction or both AND if you are interested in picture books, middle grade, or young adult.
